  • DOT number and MC number (optional; used to populate your carrier profile)
  • Payment information (processed and stored by Stripe, our payment processor—we do not store full credit card numbers)
  • CRM notes and saved routes (data you create within the Service)

1.2 Automatically Collected Information

We automatically collect certain information when you use the Service:

  • Usage data: Pages viewed, features used, search queries, time spent on the Service
  • Device information: IP address, browser type, operating system
  • Cookies and tracking technologies: We use cookies for authentication (via Clerk) and analytics (via Google Analytics)

1.3 Publicly Available Data

We collect and display publicly available information from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and Department of Transportation (DOT) databases, including:

  • Broker contact information (company names, addresses, phone numbers, emails)
  • Carrier authority data (when you provide your DOT number)

This data is publicly accessible and is not considered personal information belonging to you or any third party.


2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide the Service: Enable account access, broker searches, route optimization, CRM features, and customer support
  • Process payments: Via Stripe (see Section 4)
  • Send transactional emails: Account confirmations, password resets, billing notices (via Resend)
  • Marketing communications: Product updates, tips, and promotional emails (you can opt out at any time)
  • Analytics and improvements: Understand how users interact with the Service to improve features and performance
  • Prevent fraud and abuse: Detect and prevent unauthorized access, scraping, or illegal use of the Service

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.

6.2 Cancelled or Expired Accounts

If you do not renew your subscription, we will delete your personal information and user-generated content (CRM notes, saved routes) within 30 days of expiration.

6.3 Your Right to Delete

You have the right to request deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing info@trilane.co. We will delete your data within 30 days of your request, except where we are required to retain it for legal or accounting purposes.

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including:

  • Encryption: All data is transmitted over HTTPS
  • Secure storage: User data is stored in TiDB, which uses industry-standard security practices
  • Access controls: Only authorized personnel have access to user data

However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.

TriLane is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected information from a child under 18, we will delete it immediately.
